I am going to attempt to help others out with posting pics on this forum.

When you are in the new topic box or full reply box you will see a button 5th from the left with an Orange Box and a Blue up arrow. This is what you will hit to add a picture from your iPhone or iPad.

Don't add more than two at a time before hitting Save All Images.

Before I post my picture...the picture is vertical and looks perfectly normal.

After I post the picture it is turned 90 degrees to the left and shows the picture horizontal.

Why? I have no idea.

If it was normal before the post you think it would be normal after the post.

I'm going to take screen shots to show you how to correct this issue.

Bare with me during the process. Screen Shots to follow....

This is what you get when you post your picture even though it shows perfectly normal before the post.

As you can see the picture is turned 90 degrees left.

You hit the Orange Box with Blue Arrow Button and you see Browse.

You browse Photo Library on your iPhone or IPad. I'm sure it will work with a computer as well.

You click on picture you want to add and hit the Add This File.

You click Save All Images like in the second snap shot above.

As you can see the picture is showing 90 degrees to the left.

Once you click Save All Images it displays as text see snap shot above.

Don't add more than two pics at a time before hitting the Save All Images button or the Save All Images button disappears.

Found that out from experience.

May be a non issue on a computer.

Now comes the how to fix the 90 degree issue.

While in your camera roll looking at whatever picture you want to post in upper right corner you will see Details and just to the Left of that three horizontal lines with 3 buttons on it. Click on that.

Once you do you will look towards the bottom and see some options along the bottom of the picture.

The Second button from the Left is a box with a couple arrows going in circles.

Click on that button.

Once you click on that button you will look to the lower left of your picture and another square with an arrow going counter clockwise pops up.

Click that box with the arrow twice. Hit Done in the lower right corner.

The picture is upside down at the moment.

Repeat the above steps again.

Click on three horizontal lines.

Click on that box with two arrows going in circles.

Again click on box to the Left with arrow going counter clockwise.

Two clicks and the picture will show correct like you just turned it 360 degrees while pausing at the 180 degree point.

Now go post the picture and it shows correct like below.

Don't ask me why this fixes it because I have no idea.

It looked fine before I posted it.

And the process above to me feels like I rotated the picture 360 degrees pausing at the 180 degree mark.

Only to wind up right back where I started,

Why does the raw picture show up turned 90 degrees?

I then rotate it 360 degrees and poof the problem is solved. hmmm

Don't know what to tell you other than this corrected the issue for me.

If you need help shoot me a message and I will help anyway I can.

It's been trial and error for me.

The joys of technology.

I did not need a photo editor even though I already had one and used it on a couple other pics this morning.

I was able to fix this issue with the tools on the phone and tablet.

The most puzzling thing to me is why this fixes the issue to begin with.

Why does the raw picture show up horizontal even though it shows vertical before you go to add it. hammer

Very puzzling to me, but hope this post helps others going forward. thumb

Very Cool! Thanks for the info!

I used to do my "play-by-play" posts...and now I'll be able to add the photos to them along the way!

There is an orientation bit in the header information that some software picks up on, while other software does not. That is what causes pictures showing up sideways.

Because of the device settings. Pictures are supposed to be taken with the phone horizontally
