I use all Falcon Caras except for an old All Star platinum 783 for 1/4oz poppers. I'm looking for suggestions on a rod for larger topwaters such as spooks, dog-x, pop max. Only requirement is cork handles, preferably in the $200-$250 range

Dobyns Champion 734. Barely in your price range though. Many choices cheaper but few better. Really for bigger topwaters...any quality med-heavy with a faster tip should do the trick until you move into really heavy "large swimbait sized" topwaters larger than the ones you mentioned.
