Good day scouting solo on falcon today, caught around 40
with the biggest going around 8lbs. Lakes up around 18ft
and looks great.

Haven't had much luck lately on the big ones but I did happen into a school Thursday afternoon. Ran a trap through there and they just boiled up. I caught at least a dozen or better up to 14".

Sure is a lot more lake isn't there?

Thanks, your not kidding, a lot more lake. It's such
an up and down lake but seeing it come up like this
never gets old, now if we can just hang on to this water
for a while fishings gonna get crazy. Already pretty good.

With the lake at 281.79. Is it anything, like the jungle, it was after the raise that happened from Sept of 2013 till April of 2014? Places so thick a boat couldn't get thru.

What year was it when the big rain came and water was up to the bridge in town. Last time down my waypoint for my big fish didn't even show up on map.

I wanna say 09 or 2010 when it was like 6-8 ft over full pool, James
probably knows exactly when,but somewhere around there. It's not that
bad,or I should say good, you can get to the bank in a lot of places, but I was noticing the
bigger trees are on the edge of the water in some places, another 4-5 ft it'd be real thick.
But worth the trouble that's for sure.

Lake got to 309.31 of the 17th of July 2010.. Eight feet over pool.. It was something..

But we were basically full from then till March of 2011..

Remember that very well. Public ramp was closed and we were launching at a ramp about 15 miles out of town towards Laredo. Don't remember the name of the ramp now.

I remember that, too. It was unreal seeing the top of those channel markers about 5ft above the water

It is a jungle back in the creeks.. Not quite like it would be at five feet higher.. But a thicket for sure..

Was in the back of the Salanaias this morning, and Benavides also..



Spinnerbait in white and a chartreuse square bill was best.. Did not Murder them.. Had a goodun come off a swimbait.. Other than that it was a few keepers and a bunch of rats..

North end of the lake still tough.. Few fish here and there.. South end much better.

It looks awesome but not fishing very well..
