Been thinking about joining a club in the North Texas area. Denton County Bass Club looks like they are pretty squared away. Anyone have good/bad comments or details?

They are a great group of guys. Another great club to look at (one I highly suggest) is Century Bass Club. I live in Springtown, Tx so Denton's schedule would be a lot closer for me on most of the lakes they go to but I personally picked Century over Denton because I feel they have a little better anglers in the club and I figure if I want to get better, I need to fish against better anglers. You can look us up at centurybassclub.com. All in all, you wont go wrong with either club.

Reading my post, I sound a little big headed and that is not my intention. Please don't take it that way. Denton also has some great sticks.

Come check out Osprey Bass Anglers, based in Fort Worth. Meetings are 1st Saturday of every month, and tournaments are the following weekend. First tournament is free to fish, and if you would like to join, it's $50 annual membership

Well it looks like your getting the used car salesman pitch from every other club out there. I don't know much about Denton County Bass Club, but my suggestion is to go to a couple meetings and participate in a few tournaments and see how you like it, if you don't there are plenty of other clubs in the DFW area as many other have said.

I can vouch for the BCNT (Bass Club of North Texas). I used to fish the Coppell Club before they merged and there are some good sticks in it. Some have even won boats on the individual trails. This is the link that Nathan_Flowin put up. I agree with djones03, though, too. Fish a couple of T's and then decide, or go to several emetings and get an idea of what is going on in the club. Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

Thanks guys, good info. I've been fishing Media and opens. Hoping to find a club that is BASS Nation and/or TBF affiliated to fish the qualifiers. Plus meet some good guys and learn more locally.

Bass Club of Fort Worth is Bass Nation affiliated. We started in 1984 and have around 100 members, with 50 -60 at each tournament. Check out our website www.bcfw.org.
