Only fished for Crappie three days this week as the weather & North Wind kept us off Richland Chambers on Tuesday. Each trip we had a nice ice chest of Crappie and then made our way to the Main Lake to top it off with White Bass. Monday was Brushpile Day as a twosome from DFW caught 35 nice fish from a couple of Brushpiles in 15' FOW. Thursday I had one of the local Senior Citizens join me for a nice AM on the Lake and we managed 25 really good fish before doing a little Catfishing. Both Thursday and todays fish came off timber along the South Shoreline up from Fisherman's Point Marina in 22' FOW. Today was as good as it gets with a 50 fish limit with a Dad/Son Combo from Clifton before 9AM and then an hour or so of White Bassin' to fill the ice chest!

Finished off the week with the Ryan Family from Houston and their annual Fishing Trip and all had FUN! Seven person Group stayed in the Lodge at Fisherman's Point Marina on Friday Night and we hit the Lake at 7AM today. I had Papaw, Nana and 11 year old Evan on board and Adam had Mom, Dad and two teenage Sons. I started with Crappie and Adam's Group started and stayed with White Bass. We used all our minnows by around 9:30AM and had 43 Keeper Crappie and about the same amount of throwbacks. We joined Adam and fished for Whites till around 11:30AM and called it a GOOD DAY! Cleaned well over 100 fish including Crappie, Whites, Catfish and Bream! Looks like a fish fry for the Ryan Family!

You are 100 % correct. RC can make you very humble when it comes to Crappie. That's why our "Bread & Butter" is Whites in the Warm Months and Catfish in the Cold Months.

Fished Tuesday and today with some success. Bite was a lot slower than last week and more throwbacks. Still we had a 43 fish box and a 31 fish box. Crappie and Whites mixed with the majority Crappie. Bet tomorrow's trip will improve as the South Wind returns and the barometer headed down!
