I love this time of year, and looking at the ten day forecast, it's about to bust wide open.

Lake: Cedar Creek

Water temp: 78-80

Location of fish: 6-15ft

Rod: 8ft G-Rod Pro Mag

Reel: Pflueger President

Line: 8lb hi-vis monofilament

Jig: Bacon Grease Thump Chubby with 1/8 ounce head.

Technique: Move hard and fast. With the water temps still high, I'm playing a numbers game right now. By that I mean I'm hitting a lot of main lake brush piles and boat docks in an effort to target the aggressive eaters and not waste a lot of time on fish that aren't ready to commit. Wednesday's cool front made for our best day of the week, where we cleaned 157. Friday and Saturday were more difficult, but we were still able to get 32 and 104 keepers.

I'm looking forward to this week's cold temperatures, as cooler water will mean bigger fish and more of them. I am speculating that if things continue to go as they are now, our bite will continue through early December. Like I said, it's just now 78-80 on the surface. The good fishing doesn't even start until the water gets down to the upper 60s-low 70s.

I have some scattered availability through the end of this month and November. If you would like to join me, it would be my pleasure to take you. www.ftworthfishing.com or 817-266-9811
