For the folks who have fished it, where do you walk getting to it? Up by the road or cut through the parking lot on the west side of the boat slips? Thanks

Ditto. I just park at the marina and walk right through the gate and through the west lot. Signs say no trespassing or something to that effect but I have never had a problem.

Go figure no trespassing means just come on through.Sorry but I'm a land owner and no trespass is part of my rights and when someone thinks they can just blow by, it gets under my skin.

Same here. Once you get in, the signs say no fishing. As long as you aren't fishing the bank there they won't mind. That is the main reason they closed it off.

Is it really the marina's property? Not the parking lot itself but the steps to the west of the lot.

If it's COE or city property, then I don't see how the marina could totally block it off.

Not trying to start anything, just wondering where the heck I can go to get my tube in the water without trouble.

Before I was thinking the same but after asking a couple of the employees there. They told me as long i wasn't fishing by the marina where the posted signs were and I was going to fish the bridge. They were fine with it.

All is good when owners permission. I went by today and it doesn't say no trespass it say no one beyond this point.
Considering that walk is actually part of the bridge I would say not in there jurisdiction to do anything.

What did they clear up????? The fence was put up to keep people off their property!!!! That is their property, it is leased by them!!! There are too many people steeling from the parking area,so they put up the sign!!!!

I would agree with you , but then we would both be WRONG !!!!!

Just Jigging is correct. The marina leases from the Corp, this includes the driving range, repair ship (which they sublease to those businesses) all of the parking and land by the slips. They have put up the signs for this reason. People that park in their lot is using their property but not patronizing their business, if it is busy you are taking away from paying customers parking.
