Decided to make a trip to Purtis Creek and try some jig fishing from the piers. Park Ranger said they had brush sunk under each dock, but never got a thump on any color. Most everyone else was throwing out 10-20 yards and catching Crappie off the bottom with minnows. I sure hate to resort to minnows and abandon my jig fishing. Has anyone here had luck with jigs on the piers?

Just do the same with your jigs. Thats how we were catching them on Lavon a few weeks ago. Cast it, let it hit bottom, then slowly retrieve.

Fishin' to stock Lake Crisco.
