Decided to make a trip to Purtis Creek and try some jig fishing from the piers. Park Ranger said they had brush sunk under each dock, but never got a thump on any color. Most everyone else was throwing out 10-20 yards and catching Crappie off the bottom with minnows. I sure hate to resort to minnows and abandon my jig fishing. Has anyone here had luck with jigs on the piers?

Just do the same with your jigs. That�s how we were catching them on Lavon a few weeks ago. Cast it, let it hit bottom, then slowly retrieve.
