I was just wondering if y'all would consider a Shakespeare gx2 ugly stick medium action a good crankbait rod?

Depends on what you mean by "good"? It will work. I have caught many bass on the old Berkley Lightning rod. (Long time ago.) Most of the guys on the Forum have "GRADUATED" to the upper end/cost for rods and wouldn't consider an Ugly Stick as a "prime" crankbait rod. HOWEVER, It is a good all around rod and will work for a budget minded angler. Nothing wrong with it. It is just not a specialty rod. What other choices do you have for your budget??
