With all the hunting I do I rarely crappie fish this time of year. However I bought a boat and plan to get out as much as possible. I've heard about creeks after it cools off. I've only fished creeks in the spring so I'm looking forward to that. Where else should I be looking in the meantime? I fished brush plies Saturday on LL and caught 52 fish. Only six keepers though. What a beating. Any help would be much appreciated.

I found fish suspended on vertical structure last weekend. The brush piles I counted on all summer had cleared out for the most part. Almost every piece of structure I tried( docks trees and bridge piles) had a fish or two on it suspended at 10'-12' depth.

I've always known that crappie guys were tight lipped but 500+ views and only 1 response?

I'm not an expert crappie fisherman by any means, but fishing bridge pilons have been producing well for me in the 12-14 ft deep range..
