My sister runs an Online Media Company call Arsenic. IG Arsenic, Snap arsenictv. They are staying in the Sandy Creek Area of Travis and a couple of the models want to go fishing. I live in Fort Worth and have never fished Travis and was wondering if I could get some advice. I’m bringing my 18 Lowe stinger down and was just wondering about conditions, areas. We just need to catch fish, quality really doesn’t matter and sand bass, stripers and small blacks are ok. On PK there are a bunch of stripers and sand bass schooling early with black bass and wanted to know things look like at Travis.

Sandy Creek is a good area. Focus on points and stair-step ledges. Jerkbait bite was decent for me last Sunday. My wife was throwing a Tx rigged motor oil power worm and almost caught as many as I did. Shad/bait are starting ball up...we saw some short-lived and sporadic schooling activity but didn't spend any time chasing them. Schooling activity should get stronger so keep an eye out. Flukes, senkos, ned rigs can also be good around exposed brush near shore.

Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading
