as long as you stay on Main lake and away from bank you should be fine. Boat lane runs good but watch for floaters. Also, herd fish are still schooling on shad pretty good

You can easily run to the dam from the ramp. If you are standing on the ramp facing the dam, the left creek arm is ok to run at a slow speed above idle but follow the buoys, if you go to the right side creek I would also suggest following the buoys but you have to be a little more cautious on that arm of the lake. There are a couple of stumps under water that are very close to the boat lane and if you are a little off you could hit one.

Bring some cash with you because there is a ramp fee. I think it is $4.00 or $5.00 for you and the boat and $1.00 for each person with you if I remember correctly.

Go left from ramp, follow boat lane to first house on left bank.
Directly across from the house, pull off boat lane and sit
Been a lot of schoolers busting shad in boat lane.
Topwater if you can, but I did better one a 4" green pumpkin trick worm on shaky head
