Got out there 0715 and fished trees. Caught a few but had to be in that little area on certain trees that may have been the size of a peck basket. At about 1030 the bite picked up considerably and caught probably about 20 more on just 3 different trees until they shut off at about 12. Fished for another hour and didnt catch another, water was 79. Nothing on bridges. There are lots of 10.25 to 10.50 inch fish. All the 9.5-9.75 inch fish caught earlier this year must have grown a little. Kept about 15 for a little fish fry. I didnt change colors and only used a chartreuse/white jig.

Thank you for the report. I fished the 27th/29th and October 1st on Lewisville, all evening trips..5:30-7:30 or so. Caught all my keepers in 10-14FOW on good ole Palestine Special. Brush piles. Worst day was 7 keepers. Lewisville should get good here soon.

Lewisville is getting hot right now. We fished four times in the last week and averaged 25-30 keepers each morning. Most on brushpiles in 15'-20'. great weather. I love fall.

Hi everyone, newbie here.

When you say keepers guys, do you mean Sand Bass?

How's the Largemouth fishing in Lewisville?

I went with a few friends on a boat and fished Sands only, a lot of keepers, close to 55. But I would like to go out in my kayak and try for some Largemouths...

Thanks!

You might try posting this over in the bass section. Everyone over here in this section mainly crappie fishes.
