On different forums I've noted different categories for crappie and other panfish species. Catching them seems the same using lures regardless of species. In fact most times I catch four fish species in the same areas using the same lures. These are just a few:

Think it just depends what the fish want each day. Had many days where subtle baits were best and many more where they wanted crazy stuff happening. Not everyone wants to eat pizza every day ya know...
