Going out on a limb here to ask for help catching crappie on Grapevine. Taking my 6yo son out in the morning. neither of us has caught a crappie before. Where should I concentrate my time? Thank you.

Don't fish that lake, but I would start in some 12 to 18 foot water on structure. If you have a graph look for some shad, and start at that depth. Good luck guys. fish

Find brush 10' or deeper, fish early, take lots of snacks, and always remember when you take kids fishing it's not the fish you'll remember in 20 years. Enjoy
