Just curious for those that have Helix 12's what mount are you using for console and bow. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Bow mount for Helix-9. Installed by shut up and fish.




Console mount for Helix-12 is a 2" Ram Mount.

I use a RAM D at the bow for a Helix 12 CHIRP SI GPS.



The more solid bridge mount like OKIE has is a better choice for bow for rough waters.

I use a custom mount on the console with a SOLIX 12 SI.

Balzout. Pricier but much sturdier than Ram mounts.

What year zx250 do you have? I just bought a 2015 zx250 and installed Precision Sonar mounts. Very happy with the product and the customer service was amazing!

Bow mounts

I have a ZX225 with the same exact setup as Okie. Love the Dek-it mount on the box (tried a Ram Mount first but didn't like the positioning), and for the most part I like the Ram at the console due to the angle the graph has to mount on (yours and mine wont have a fairly flat surface like Okie's does). If I really trusted there was a significantly more stable mount just as easy to use as the RAM I would probably buy it, but I haven't been convinced enough to trade the RAM out yet.

Definitely the Jumbo Rams for console and bow unless you perfer a deck it. I've installed alot of Rams with zero complaints on helix 10s and up and the solix 15s. We have them in stock at Boris Marine
