I went fishing last week and i left my rod assembled, i'm not sure of what happened but yesterday i was trying to break the rod apart to put it in the car and it just wouldn't come apart. It turned a little bit and now the guides of the top part of the rod are not aligned with the bottom part. I tried putting some baby oil and ice but none of them worked, any tips? it's getting really frustrating and being in college means that i don't have money for a new rod...

Use some rubber material for more grip, twist and pull. If you have someone to help, heat up the top section with a hair dryer while you twist and pull.
