Well apparently I have inherited a BassTracker from my uncle that recently passed away.
Boat was bought new in 2005, and the last time it was registered was in 2005.
The model is a Crappie Pro 175 w/ a 60 HP Mercury.
Boat has been covered at one time, but the only thing that still had pieces of cover on it was the motor. Needless to say the seats and carpet are toast. Heck I was impressed the original tires took air and made it back the hour to my house.
Going to have to go through this thing completely including the motor. Couldn't have been used more than a handful of times, since the paint hasn't even been worn off the skeg or lower unit.
Starting tonight to pull the 3" of leaves out of the boat and start pulling carpet.
Only part that scares me is the fuel system being still that long.

Sorry to hear about your uncle.
That looks like a nice boat. Should be a fun project.

Sorry for the loss, nice looking boat though. I wouldn't think it'd need too terribly much to get going.

Drain out all the old gas, replace all of the fuel lines with the ethanol resistant, new spark plugs, new impeller and fire it up. New bearings and tires on the trailer. New seats. Probably new plywood decks if it has been outside. Good deal but no boat is free. Have fun fixing her up.

Seats are toast, and so is the carpet, but amazing the marine plywood flooring is still hard as could be. Gas tank is dry as a bone so not sure how much varnish is in the bottom of it yet. You can't even smell gas when you open the gas cap. I figured new impeller and fuel lines, batteries and tires.

Absolute first thing I would do is check to see if the motor is locked up. It can be the deciding factor of weather doing anything makes monetary sense at all.

Haven't really had too much time to do much with it since I hauled it back the other day. I'm sure there is a pull start on it somewhere so I don't have to put a charged battery on it to see if it spins.

If its carbed it wouldn't scare me. Likely the fuel has evaporated long ago and all that is left is a little powder. Bet there is a decent chance it fires up without doing anything to it other than starting with a clean tank gas and fuel lines.

What do yall think go back with Carpet or Rhino line the deck? Rhino line. Even if you put new carpet in, it always gets stained.

After being down this road before, I would make sure I can get the boat properly titled before I put a dime in it. No matter how nice you make it, it's not worth much if you can't legally fish it on public waters.
If the plan is to use it only on private then disregard

What do yall think go back with Carpet or Rhino line the deck? I've wondered about the thick rubber mats with holes so water could drain. Probably wouldn't be comfortable barefoot but I'd think would be a breeze to install, compared to the other two options. Something similar to this.
