A really, really, sexy blue gator trax from Louisiana. I was asked to pay the extra, "special rate". They thought I came from the land of dueling banjos.... Negative ghostrider!

Be sure and research all the fees associated with registering now a days. I bought a $950 flat bottom with 10 hp motor and trailer. Cost me over $247 in tax and fees. Tax was $57.00 rest was trailer tags and TP&W fees.

That seems like a crazy amount... I know it is 6% tax on whatever the purchase price was. Fees are a little more but I didn't think they were that much. They WILL get you if you wait longer than 20 days or however long their cut off deadline is. Have to transfer it quickly.

I was a little high in my previous post. And remember this is on a 14" boat and 10hp motor. Fees should be thae same but with higher sales tax.
Boat Ownership transfer and renewal: 11.00 Standard title 27.00 Registration non livery vessel 32.00 Sales tax 43.75
Motor: Standard title 27.00 Sales tax 6.25
Total TP&W 147.00 Trailer: Trailer plate, Tax, registration 78.13 Total: $225.13
