I've got my son in law getting a couple of days of leave from the Navy and need to get him on fish. He comes in next Friday and I want to go scout out a lake or two this weekend to find a few fish.

Anyone fish Welch, Sandlin or Holbrook lately....I just want to go catch a few fish and have not been keeping up with the fish on Fork (which generally means a disastrous day on the water for me!).

Any help is appreciated.

We have had pretty good days on Palestine in the shallows lately. Just commit to a creek and you will catch some.

Last Saturday we had all boats but two catch limits on winnsboro. Over 17 to win, over 16 for second lots of fish caught, just plain fun.

Been doing well on Sandlin. Main lake structure (boat houses, break walls especially if there is grass also).

Not rubbing it in at all. Was just simply letting him know that his old boat still catches fish! We bought our cat from him.

Chad you took that wrong, I figured that when you said your old cat. I was just yanking your chain in the process. Good luck at eagle mountain, I will be fishing tbcoe at fork that weekend.
