Palanuik beat Christy, he's gonna be hard to beat up north. I'm surprised at how well Christy has fished in the northern water. 29 out of 50 bags over 20 lbs.
The smallmouth have been protected for many years until the last two. The walleye fishing fell off they reduced the already small limit of walleye allowed and changed the smallmouth rules from 1 trophy fish to 5 fish limits.

The resort charter boats are taking tourists out bobber fishing for smallmouth which is a crying shame.

Used to be if you saw a bass boat most would be fishing muskie, but not this year!

I'm sick about it but time will tell I guess. Lots of knee jerk rule changes by the Mn DNR mostly economics and politics over conservation. Dang I to think about all the smaller smallmouth that got ate this year!

The bracket tourney at Pokegama will be good too. Good smallmouth and largemouth fishing up there.

BASS put an article out that basically claimed responsibility for the new found fishing pressure and drop in catches.

Obviously, it's very apparent. Wherever BASS goes the lake takes a very hard tumble shortly after.

Wheeler just moved into the lead....He's got the Ultrex set and is whacking em! He hollered at Connell to pull up behind him and go to work with him!

Now they're saying their live points update is wrong and Palanuik is still in the lead! Pulling for the Skeeter Pro!!!

^^^ I think he is referring to when he illegally culled over state lines in a Tournament on the Mississippi a couple years back.
