What are some good lakes to fish around the Hurst TX area. I have never fished any East Texas lakes and looking for some recommendations for first week of November.

Hurst you would be looking at all of the lakes around DFW such as Lewisville, Eagle Mountain, Lake Worth, etc.

Hurst is in NE Tarrant County, not East Texas. Ray Roberts, Grapevine, Possum Kingdom, Texoma and I'm sure many other great lakes I don't know about out that way.

Grapevine and Joe Pool are both close to your house. I've never fished Grapevine but Pool is very easy to navigate. I pick one lake and try to stick with it to really learn how it fishes. If you are talking during the week, Pool has pretty light boat traffic. On the weekend, stay away. I pretty much stick to it and then venture out to Fork or Welsh for something a little different. Some people like Arlington but I have never really figured that one out.
