I have a 2003 Merc 125 with constant console alarm with key turned on before starting. I believe the temp sender is bad and can be TS by unplugging wire but I can not locate the senser or wire. I have the shop manual but the picture sucks. Could someone post or text a picture showing location please. 817-937-6510

Its not going to be your temp more than likely it going to be a bad float in the oil tank and float is not repairable complete tank will have to be replaced. But the answer to your question is the temp sender is on the back of the motor and it is a tan with blue tracer wire....OPTI

Thanks for the reply. I changed the oil tank last year so thought it was likely engine temp but OPTI got it, another oil tank sensor failure. Thank you both. I also found and checked temp sender its on the aft of the power head on my motor 2003 Merc 125 4 cylinder 2 stroke sn 0t685682
