Making a trip to Fort Worth to see my little bro get his ring, and planning to fish Saturday morning. Any tips for fly fishing Grapevine Lake? Also, can I rent a kayak locally for an early morning of fishing? Thanks

I don't know where you'd rent a kayak around there, but that might be just about the best bank fishing lake there is. There's literally access everywhere. Take something shaddy to Sandbass Point on the south side of the lake and you can usually find the sandies running up and back on that bank in the AM & PM. You can stick to the bank, but it's nice, flat wading there, too, if you feel like getting wet.

My buddy insists the same Flood, that Grapevine is great for bank fishing.
Thanks for the recommendation.

Bank fishing and bank catching at GV are two entirely different things
From Genesis: "And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth."
Then He made the earth round...and He laughed and laughed and laughed!
