I've got a Helix 12 and will be pulling my tank soon so while I am down there I want to put in a shoot thru hull transducer. Which transducer can I mount that will work well and will I still have the chirp on the 2D? Which y connector do I need?

This y cable is for non mega units

https://www.humminbird.com/Products/MSILR-Y/

For the 2d shoot thru transducer, the unit chirps the transducer so any compatible transducer will be capable of chirp due to the head unit

That Y cable is compatible with MEGA and non-MEGA SI units. The AS SIDB Y has been discontinued.
The AS SIDB Y is not compatible with a MEGA unit.
