Super Start cranking battery 650 MCA

Two Interstate batteries both with 845 MCA

Noco Genius mini 2 bank battery charger.

Batteries have been tested and are still rock solid.

Longest I have been on the water to date is 9-10 hours and still had juice when I put the boat on the trailer. My problem is with the charging; it's going on close to 16 hours now and it is still not fully charged. Is this a call for a charger upgrade? What's a guy gonna do when there's a 2 day tourney??? hmmm

If you are draining batteries and fishing back to back tourny days you gonna need a bigger charger, at least a 10 amp and and probably 15amp would be even beter

Per Minn Kota's website a 30 amp charger would fully charge the batteries in 4-6 hours. That would be plenty powerful enough for my boat. Only addition I may add in the future is a hydrowave. Other than that it's just two HDS graphs and a 24v TM. Not putting anything else on this boat.

One issue is you have one bank trying to charge two batteries. Neither will get completely charged well or evenly. With 3 batteries, you need a 3 bank charger and I would recommend a 15 amp or higher.

Why would you recommend 15 as opposed to 10 amps? Does this give me anything other than a faster charge?

No, just a faster charge. I spend a lot of time on the trolling motor. When running morning and afternoon trips, I don't have time to put it back on the charger in between. I just want when I do charge it, to be an effective use of time to be back fully charged.

I have the 4 bank MK 460 PC at 15 amps per bank and it does an excellent job.

Ok. Got ya, thanks. I'm the type to get out early and stay till I'm done and would never really do multiple trips in one day. Unless, I guess, I'm fishing an away lake and staying there for a few consecutive days right on the water.

Would I need to buy any additional equipment for the new charger or can it be retro-fitted with the existing battery cables and set up?

345 PC for $315 BNIB. That's a steal.

The 330 PC is $380 on Tackle Warehouse before Labor Day discount.
