I got this idea from team catfish it's basically a sinker slide followed by a sinker bumper and a barrel swivel tied to my main line which is 25 lb big game followed by 80 lb mono leader attached to a snap swivel

IMO, it's gonna be hard to catch anything without a hook at the end!

I was with ya until you said snap swivel and leader. Snell knot the leader to the hook and be done.

I like the ability to change hooks without having to retie because If I'm fishing and cutbait ain't working I would want to change my hook to a Treble hook and use punch bait

I ran out of slinky weights one day and added a lead tear drop 2 ounce weight to a slide just like that. It did not get bit as much as the other 5 rods with slinky weights and I had more problems with tangles, snags and the rod tip pulled a lot more. Try a slinky weight on that slide and see how that works out.

It was a hurricane wire double drop leader tied to the main line and I wasn't having any problem with it but I just thought this may be better

You should have multiple leaders made up before hand. Hook snelled to a length of leader tied to a swivel. Make some with trebles too if you want.
It takes two seconds to tie mainline to swivel when you want/need to change it.

The snell knot gives your hook a "trigger" affect. Do you snell all your hooks? I only snell my circles that have an upturned eye. On something like the TC circle, a regular knot works just fine for me, and have actually missed some good fish when I tried Snelling them. Maybe too much trigger effect?? Lol. I feel like the upturn eye is there specifically to snell.

The Snell Knot actually turns the hook into the mouth of the fish with little to no effort where as regular knots and snaps don't.
If the fish don't bite your not baiting right...
