Been thinking about taking my float tube to Lake Hawkins. Would like to get into some chain pickerel. Anybody been on it the last couple of months?

Last time on the lake was late June. I was catching them up north above the bridge on frogs in the pads and flukes in the grass. If you're in the tube beware of the gator that lives up on that end of the lake. Saw it almost every time I've been this summer.

You could go to Holbrook in your tube and fish the boat houses. No gators there.
