 Going to replace trim seals

I'm going to replace my trim seals for the first time tomorrow morning. I got the seals and spanner wrench by mail today. Any words of wisdom from anyone that has done it before? My motor is a 1999 Yamaha 115 2 stroke. (C115TLRX)

Raise motor all the way up to release pressure in system. Easy from there.

I used a 2 X 6 board (cut to length needed to support the motor) with a V notch and rested the motor in that while I worked on the trim unit.

Should have a built in lock to keep motor up.

good luck. if all else fails u can just knock the hell out of the caps and just get some replacement caps if the wrench wont budge.

Woohoo! Got the caps off clean without damaging them at all. Not even a scratch. It was a pain in the a$$ to get the old seals out but I got the new ones in pretty easy. Refilled and bled the fluid and it works perfectly!
