My parents are looking at moving over to the Waco Area and were wanting to go look at houses and try the fishing this week. If you had to choose one would you fish Belton, Whitney or Waco? Any tips would be appreciated!

If they are after Stripers, send them to Whitney.
If they are after Crappie send them to Waco
If they are after LMB, send them to Lake Fork 😜

The bite for LMB has been tough on both Belton an Waco,
have not fished Whitney in years.

To me, Belton is a better lake when windy, has a bunch of protected coves, and
high bluffs on some of the main lake.

Waco has a lot of stump fields, makes for some good cover for bass.
Reynolds Creek area is where I have had the most success.

I would send them to Belton or Stillhouse, Waco is always hit or miss this time of year but belton has been fishing very well imo (deeper - clearer lake)

Lake Brazos is an option or trading house is on.

My vote would be lake Whitney or Stillhouse. Stillhouse is nice and clear at the dam end of the lake and has a lot of grass to fish. Belton can be a lot of fun though with the smallmouth that live in that lake. Waco is a fun lake but you need to put in the time to get on those fish.

Spent 5 hours yesterday morning on Lake Waco and didn't get a single bite throwing everything in my tackle box. My partner lost one dink next to the boat on a frog.
I think the evening bite is better than the morning bite right now.
Waco is going to be tough until about Oct.,after the lake turns over.

September is surprisingly one of my favorite months to fish lake Waco.. also, haven't been in a while but tradinghouse can be a fun lake to fish!

Excellent crappie lake and bass .... well if you can unlock the secret of catching bass on this lake it can be excellent as well, it fishes different and most struggle.
