The Ray Hubbard Bass Club will be holding our monthly meeting this Thursday night, August 10th starting at 7:00PM. We meet at Bass Pro Shops in Garland on the restaurant patio downstairs. We're still taking memberships. Membership costs $30.00 per year and includes your entire immediate family. Our Secretary Russell Olds will be helping you out. We'll help you find him when you get there. There are only three tournaments left in the year, so it's too late to qualify for the Championship, but there's lots of fishing to be done!

Topics for discussion this month include the results from our July tournament on Lake Lavon. Fishing was tough, but there were two 20+ pound bags caught. If you were one of the teams that cashed a check, there are a bunch of teams wondering how you did it. Come prepared to tell us all a fishin story! We will discuss the tournament coming up on Saturday August 12th on Lake Fork . We will be fishing from 6:30 - 2:30. Registration and weigh in will take place at Popes Landing Pavilion and ramp. There is a $3.00 fee to use the ramp there. Full tournament info can be found here in the Bass Clubs section. We will also choose hours for our September tournament on Lake Ray Hubbard. Water temps are at their highest point of the year. We will talk about both human and fish care. Let's make sure everyone participating goes home or swims away to fish or be caught another day!

We will be updating everyone on the FFAC coming up for the American Cancer Society on October 21st. It's time to start getting donations for raffle prizes. If you can donate a prize, or want to sponsor us, please do! We will talk about the PVA tournament coming up on Ray Hubbard Sept 29 - Oct 1. If you need a community event to qualify for the Championship, you will need to participate in one of these events, hopefully both. We'll have a financial update and where we are with the Championship fund. We will announce the rosters for the Top 6 tournament. Congratulations to those teams that qualified! If you are a member and want to give a quick presentation about your business, fishing related or not, this is the meeting to do that! We want to support our members so don't be shy. Come on up and tell us what you do.
