Well maybe I should say in Fork!! Fished a couple hours with my buddy yesterday eve and he put his new 8' ACC stick to use briefly!! Dropped down on a laydown and got bit and the rod slipped out his hand when he set the hook!! Rod was out of sight before he could say Oh $�&$!!! Hadn't even taken the plastic wrap off the handle which is probsbly why he lost it to begin with but a painful start to the day! I broke the tip off my first Proangler shorty after that as well! First one I've broken in 10 years! Pulled my extra rod tip out the box and went back after em. Stole some of little mans catfish hooks! Maybe can go snag that Rod this afternoon!! Man I would put a pool noodle on that thing if I had one! I've never seen a Rod sink fhat fast!!! Days started our lousy but the first fish in the box was a solid 1.5 fish and 3 hours later we headed in with a cooler full of fat Fork slabs!!

I remember losing a rod in Alaska on the Kenai when a Silver Salmon took off with it. About 30 minutes later we get another bite and when we wind up the hook is through the last eye on the tip of the rod we lost!
Say what? Not only did we get the rod back in a river, but we got the Silver Salmon too.

I know the feeling...Had a big sand bass yank a G rod out of my wet hand. Only thing that saved it going over the side is the spinning reel bounced off the edge of the deck and gave me that split second to grab it.

Sorry about your friends ACC rod sinking. Keep telling yourself at least it wasn't extremely high dollar. I just got the ACC dock shooting rod and it did cross my mind yesterday to keep a hold on it.
I really like the 5.6 rod and will probably order the 8 foot rod in the next few months.

Went to Tawakoni today. It was a dink fest compared to Fork. Still boxed 40 I bet. Caught probsbly 200 fish this morning. Was fun though and we didn't lose or break any rods!! Heck I was prolly due anyhow. If I make it a year without breaking or losing one I would probably just toss one in for good measure!!

How is she on force fetch in 15' of water?? Headed back again this morning! Bring her by!!

3 days of ripping lips and cold beards! I'm gonna need to go back to work tomorrow to get some rest!!
