How has the snapper bite been offshore since the season change, I've never had an issue but due to the new regulations I was just curious to if anything has changed out there

I'm not real sure what you are asking here or why you feel the new season/regs should affect the snapper bite.

But taking a stab .... the snapper bite is off the charts and if you have to drop deeper than 20' - 30' to get a limit then you might not be in a good spot.

That was what I was after thank you, that's what I guessed I've never had an issue just wanted to make sure the new limits didn't change anything

you need to go a little deeper than 30ft out of Port Oconnor lately. we had to go all the way out to 100ft to get snapper over 20 inches but it was a blast!

I only fish on days that end in Y!

No matter what the water depth the red snapper are so thick and so hungry they are all the way down from about 20' to 200'. If you are having to drop your bait further down than 20' to 50' then the spot you are on isn't as covered up with them as most spots nowadays.

went 48 miles offshore to look for some snapper and kings at the beginning of this summer. Caught 5 keeps and the rest were small. Once again in the 100-120 feet of water next to a rig.
