I bought my first boat about a year ago so I'm still learning. How often do ya'll get your boat serviced? I generally use the boat about once a week, although I don't know how many hours are on it.

Once per year or every 100 hours, whichever comes first.

Same here, every spring. Here's the list for my motor:
Water pump and plugs are inspect as replace as required. Change fuel filter, fuel water sep filter, oil filter if you have one (clean or replace), 2 gal of oil in tank, New gear lube in the lower unit, Grease all points. Just this alone at a shop costs $273. I do it myself plus:
Battery: Make sure the terminals are free of corrosion, and clean them with a stiff brush if necessary. Grease the posts with marine-grade grease to prevent corrosion. Check the fluid level in the cells, and top off with distilled water. Check the charge of the battery and charge if necessary. You should be topping off the charge at least once a month anyway. Fuel System: Check the primer bulb and replace it if it is stiff or cracked or more than 2 years old. Check fuel tanks for corrosion. Check fuel lines for leaks or kinks, and replace as necessary or if more than 10 years old. Replace the air/fuel filter if it has a replaceable filter.
Air Filter: Clean the metal filter component with carb cleaner by spraying from the inside out, then replace the filter element if one is on your motor.
Carburetor: Clean inside the carburetor with carb cleaner spray, then lubricate all moving parts with marine grade grease.
Gear Case: Change the oil, but first examine the oil by allowing a small amount to drain into a clean container. If it is milky, it means you have a bad seal. Replace this immediately to avoid costly repairs later.
Cables: Check the steering, shift and throttle cables for proper movement, and inspect them visually. If you notice any bulging beneath the sheathing, this means that corrosion is taking place and the cable must be replaced.
Prop: Inspect the prop for damage. If it shows minor nicks and dings along the edges, these can be filed smooth. If the prop is bent, replace it to avoid excessive vibration, which will result in engine wear and poor performance.
Manual Tilt/Trim release: Lift engine and engage safety lock. Turn the manual release screw (port side) to allow engine to fall slowly onto lock. This screw can lock up if not turned occasionally. Tighten back up and test trim/tilt for leaks.
Anode: Inspect the anode. Is it still there (Yamaha)? If it is heavily corroded or less than 2/3 original size, replace it.
Lubricate: With marine grade grease, lubricate the engine clamp screws, tilt lever, tilt support and swivel bracket. Lubricate all linkages throttle, choke, and carburetor. Lubricate trailer jack wheel and gears in top of jack. Lubricate fulton winch gears.
That's about it. Then just put it in the water and go-go-GO!

When ever it stops running. Yep, and that's been twice in 20 years for our Evinrude Intruder 115. Once it needed a VRO pump and once it needed a power pack. I did have the impeller changed during those repairs also.

I do lower unit gear lube and the easily accessible filters annually. I target taking it in to get everything done professionally every other year. $700 bucks for a service job annually is tough for me to swallow. I might be living dangerously, but so far zero issues.

Once a year. Normally around January. ^^^ This. I don't worry about hours. If you're running a SHO, make sure that won't void your warranty. Yamaha says, once year or 100 hours, whichever comes first.

Every two years everything is changed, replaced. I've never had a problem yet and been owning a boat for almost 30 years. I only put around 50 hours a year on mine, though.
