I've got a buddy with a cabin cruiser. He wants to occasionally toss some baits behind trawlers for tuna/cobia/etc... What would you guys recommend as a rod and reel combo that isn't insanely expensive?

I've got a Penn power stick (7', 30-50#) that would be perfect for that, & cheap!
as far as reels, a new Shimano Saragossa 8k or 10k would round it out nicely.
pm me if interested

Pro Angler Tackle 7.5' MH with a Cabela's Salt Striker 80
That reel will hold 450 yards of 50lb braid.
