Well we are a little behind we've had very busy week. So here's an update of what we've been up to.
Monday was Murrey and his wife Lynn on Lake Palestine . They booked a trip for their 47th wedding anniversary. This was a fun couple to fish with. I enjoy fishing with Murrey because he is always wanting to learn more and more about crappie fishing and he always asked questions and is interested in learning. Thanks for choosing me to spend your anniversary with! We had to wait out a wind storm for a couple hours but ended the day with 28! Happy Anniversary!
Wednesday and Thursday was Tom on Lake Palestine. He is big into salt water trout fishing but is wanting to learn more about crappie fishing. I enjoyed fishing with Tom I think he is crazy about fishing as I am. He caught his limit on both days!
Friday was the Wiggins boys and Jose on Lake Tawakoni. The Wiggins wanted to try something different and I told them about Tawakoni and the fat slabs, the rest was history. They ended the day with three man limit, 75 crappie!
Saturday was a double on Lake Palestine. First I had Rodney and Richard. Then in the afternoon I had Toby and his wife Lisa. The bite Saturday was better than I've seen in awhile on Lake Palestine. I believe mainly to the overcast day. Both trips limited out in less than four hours. 100 crappie for the day!
Sunday was My friend Shane his daughter Jasmine and Grandfather Jim on Lake Palestine. Shane's works out of state. So it was good to see him and his family. Today the bite was very light but caught a three man limit, 75 crappie!
Texas has some great crappie lakes. But i truly believe it's hard to beat these east Texas lakes. They are very fertile, great shad population, they don't get the big city fishing pressure, and they grow more and bigger crappie.
Guys if you are looking for an awesome crappie fishing, give me a call!
Thanks to everyone that has fished with me this week.
Mark
