I swim out of the boat maybe twice a year. I need a portable ladder. I have heard the rope ladders are not any good. I figure someone here would know of a good ladder. I don't want to spend a ton of money on a ladder since I only use it once or twice a year. I am taking a bunch of kids from my church tubing next week.

I am thinking about using a ski rope handle. I'll cut it off and tie a knot to it so it'll be easy to attach to the cleat in order to step on the handle.

I'm not sure if it'll work well or not, but it's the right price since I have a couple of them already and not in use.

I drive a frigging Skeeter so ladders are $99999999.00 each because of those sponsons poking out the back so much. Dry, fast ride with a great fishing deck. Horrible swimability. If your boat can handle a regular ladder, you can get an aluminum ladder that folds away (get the 3 stepper) off Ebay for about $50.00. The only one for Skeeters is $240.00 that i've found. If anyone knows different I'd love to hear it.

We swim pretty often off our boat but we just get on by holding on to the drive cables and crawling over. It ain's pretty, but it works. The thing with the rope ones is that the rope moves around so much it's tough to get any upward motion going on. Your feet just push under the boat!

I have utilized many different ladders through the years. I can tell you the stock Ranger boarding ladder is as easy as well "climbing a ladder"! Many of the others have been real awkward.

My skeeter came with the single step ladder, drop down, that shares a tansom bolt with the motor. It's not the best, but for a few times a year it will get you in the boat.

seems like i have seen some that bolt on to the jackplate. that style is probably the easiest to install.

I have an eLadder on Caldonia. Works great and was easy to install.

I just put a foot on the outboard and ride the trim up til I can get in

Taking church group tubing. Thatd be a LOT of unnecessary use on Tilt/Trim . Those kids are usually pretty agile. Build em a rope ladder. Tie foot loops & big knots for hand gripping. They'll love it Coach

Yea I don't want to use the tilt/trim. For a one time use yes but not for tubing. I might just do that. Thanks
