My biggest shark - estimated 250 lb bull shark (released), others - blacktip, bonnethead, Atlantic sharpnose

My favorite is this blacktip my wife caught from the beach.

On the bucket list - a big tiger or hammerhead from the beach, lemon on the Flordia Keys flats, and I could be talked into a leaping mako in California. My son of course wants to catch a great white, but I'll pass.

So what are yours?

My wife had a nice 7 foot plus tiger hooked up off the Alabama coast last year. She was so excited while fighting it but unfortunately we only had gear set up for a small kings and Spanish. I really want to put her in a decent shark one of these days. If it's another tiger so be it, but seeing the look on her face while fighting it when it surfaced has me in full shark mode to put her on another.

Sweet!!! Get her on another one! Where were you fishing in Alabama? We fish out of Dauphin Island every year. We caught a 7 foot bull shark on 50 lb mono and a 5/0 circle hook last year, a miracle it didn't break off. We are headed back in a few weeks, so now I'll be looking for that tiger there too!

We were about 1/4 mile outside of perdido pass crossing the shipping channel when it hit a cigar minnow on a slow troll. Got it within about 25 feet of the boat and there was no mistaking those stripes. We had to put a little more heat on it than I wanted dealing with boat traffic and thin wire leader didn't hold up! We love that area and go down as often as we can.
