If better side-imaging is what you're after, then yes. If you use downscan mostly, then keep the lss1.

The lss2 gives a few more feet of si distance and has a slight better clarity, but the lss1 has better down imaging.

I didn't quite have the contrasts the same, but you can get an idea on the clarity.

I agree, the downscan on my lss1 was much better than my lss2..
