I would like some opinions on upgrading my graph. I am currently running a lowrance X125, I want to have mapping options with the ability to mark waypoints, along with the newer advance imaging. The 2 I am looking at are the Hummingbird HELIX 7 CHIRP SI and the Lowrance Elite-7 TI mid/high/downscan chartplotter. I am not worried about power consumption. My mount is a Yakattack universal on a ram ball. The transducer is on a Mad Frog liberator. This is going on my Ride 135. Thanks in advance for all input.

I recommend the Helix 7, it's easy to use and has a very good and bright image.
Power consumption on this unit should be manageable.

Tex

I have the older Helix 7 on my Hobie PA. If you are crappie fishing or bass fishing the SI is game changing. I am not a bass guy but when I see a log laying down I just know there is a good chance their is one there. I just used the ducer that came with it cause it would fit in the PA mold for ducers. Not sure if yours has that but if you are going to hang it over the side I would get the upgraded transducer.

Yes get the HD T-ducer . Don't open the package the ducer is in and HB will let you send it back for a credit towards the upgrade.

Thanks for all the reply, I am leaning toward the Helix 7, just wasn't sure if the touch screen on the lowrance make it more user friendly. I'll definitely get the HD transducer.

I love my Lowrance Elite 5 Ti on my Big Tuna (soon to be Hobie PA12!) and if I had to buy one right now I would go with the 7 Ti. cool

I notice you are from the thriving metropolis of Apple Springs!

We lived there for a few years (my parents and brother longer) and my brother graduated from ASHS in '92.

Yes sir. They have a nice gas station/grocery store/deli AND a Family Dollar store now.

I have autochart live for sale , it will make a overlay map that's better than the mapping programs.you can find every hump ledge etc even on water that's not offered on mapping programs such as ponds and creeks
