Need some advice on how to catch carp here at canyon lake. What do I use? Where do I go? What do I look for? Just trying to catch a few because there fun to fight.

Catch them at Canyon as you would anywhere else. Back in the early 90's we would catch some big one on the crappie doc at cranes mill. We used wheaties and big red.

I fish Canyon occasionally. your best bet is to try and find water in the 12' deep range. Chum it with sweet corn( maybe a can or two) and fish your chum pile. Use a small # 6 circle hook, on a carolina rig and add 2-3 kernels of corn to the hook. Loosen your drag and hold on.
