Hey guys I'm looking to replace my abu Garcia rod I snapped. The academy near me has the Lews mach II rod and the 13 fishing Fate chrome. Both look like great rods and I'm not trying to get anything techique specific. What are your opinions?

I am not sure with those two, but Dobyns fury line is also another rod you may want to look at with theses. You can see them on Dobyns rods web page they are about 99.00. They also have other lines a little more expensive.

I've been pretty happy with my Falcon Buccoo spinning rod. You didn't mention what you use the rod for, but I use mine for weightless Sinko's, Flukes. etc.

My father in law actually broke my abu so he is getting me another within the same price of $79. I am not looking for anything technique specific because I only use one spinning rod and use bait casters for all technique specific things

The Academy brand H20 Ethos rods are a really good rod for the money. And the warranty is FOR REAL! If ya buy and don't like it for ANY REASON, take it back and they will refund, exhange without question.

I think you'll like it though. I have several pretty high end JDM rods and I have a few of these I recommended. Other than knowing one has "better stuff", they fish the same. And when, not if, you break one.....the warranty is right at your neighborhood Academy.
