I was drifting a sunfish out in 50' of water by the dam and caught this guy. What do people normally do with cats like this?

CPR?...oh you mean mouth to mouth? Yeah I did that for like 5 minutes and then let him go...my lips are still a little slimy but he should be ok.

Most of us let the big ones go. I've only caught a few over 15lbs, but that's about the size I throw them back.

Nice!!!  CPR which means Catch Photograph and Release, but sometimes its CPBR which means Catch Photograph Burp and Release when you catch em from that deep... Did you have to burp it?

Great job, I usually don't keep fish over 5-6 pounds but i rarely catch one over 2-3 pounds. Many years ago I did kept two that weighed 11 and 17 but felt guilty because they were tough and I just did not think they were all that good and I put the leftovers in the trash. Give me legal size too 3-4 pounds any day. But that's just me. If it's legal and you want to keep it enjoy.
