It looks like one of the new popular baits at ICAST is the yozuri knuckle bait. What's y'all's thoughts on this lure? It's something different but I'm not sold yet.

I saw that and can see the appeal, but it will likely be one of those things I buy and have no confidence in so it sits in the box until I go to a farm pond. Unfortunately I tend fall for these baits more than the fish do.

I can't wait for the Best of Show Freshwater lure to be release next month, the 3D Topwater Bat. It appears the wings even flap on retrieve.

Most of the lures are junk. Do you ever see elite series pros throwing ducks, bats, Roman swimbaits, rats, etc...

Quite a few pros throw Roman Made swimbaits. Palaniuk is one that does a lot.

In tournaments. Roman Made does not sponsor anyone.

The answer to the question would be NO for the most part

I've rode with a total of 9 different guys during the TTBC and out of the 9, 7 of them threw a Roman swimbait on and off all day. Brandon actually has a box that never leaves his boat with no less than 5 Romans in there if I remember right. He throws a ton of big baits.

Don't hit them with the truth. Let them doubt that they do and guys will quietly keep throwing them. Let them keep thinking it's a no for the most part....lol

Very interesting that so many throw them yet you never hear that they do. I don't remember a time where I saw one as a lure of the top finishers.
