Im fortunate to be the proud owner of 10 Falcon Cara rods. While fishing at Fork a few weeks ago I boat flipped a 5 pounder just after dark that hit right under the boat and short lined me. Got her in the boat just fine but didnt have enough line out to swing her close enough to lip her.and I made the mistake of getting my rod too vertical and broke it about a foot down from the tip. The rod was about 10 years old and has caught hundreds of fish, so it was 100% my fault and certainly NOT a defective rod.

Today I was in Tulsa so I dropped by the Falcon Factory store with my rod and asked about the replacement policy on Caras when its user error and not defective. The woman helping me nicely said there was an $80 replacement policy and I was thrilled with that. She took my rod, went to the back, returned with an identical new rod but asked me, if you dont mind, could you tell me how you broke the rod? We looked and its a very clean break. I explained how I broke and reiterated it was absolutely my fault and the rod had performed flawlessly for years. She replied, We arent charging you anything because you were honest. How freaking awesome is that?? No doubt they get plenty of folks who bring in rods that were slammed in the tailgate or jammed into the ceiling and demand a new one. Seems like these days we rarely find great customer service, but I think Falcon went above and beyond. Ive been a Falcon Cara fan for many, many years and Ill continue to be a loyal customer!

I also would have to include TFO in the great service, they even delivered me a new one to work!
