where has the cat's gone...Haven't seen any Lately or Guides fishing for them !I'm gonna try again in the morning ..so any news will help on direction I go....

They're still in there waiting to be caught. I think most people just switch to chasing striper/hybrids this time of year for the action they provide.
I couldn't imagine catching a 60lb+ blue in the summer, what a blast that would be!

Ok summer is not the best time to catch blues in my book. I mostly fish for channel cats and bait my spots with milo or range cubes. I have recently just started fishing tawakoni more but catching catfish on my baited spots has never been an issue. Right now I have spots in 20-30 foot deep water baited and catching loads of catfish on Stubbys cheese bait and punch bait.

Ive ran a few catfish trips over the past few weeks and have a lot coming up in August, but the numbers haven't been a problem. Lots of small fish still but the better quality fish have been channels  Try baiting you a spot out in the timber, they'll come in

Got a Buddy that fishes all night there and catch 25- 30lb fish everytime...Just wont tell ANYBODY where he fishes........lol
