Fish deep. Really really deep.

Look for me....I'll be in the white Nitro in 30 feet of water with my spot lock and seat belt on.

Steez, how much longer do you think the thermocline will hold the deep bite out there?

fished it today.....not a bite shallower than 15 ft. Everything came from 20+ feet.

As for the thermocline..... no telling with the cool rains we keep getting.

I fished Thursday.. it was the calmest day on JP I have ever experienced.. total slick off! I had more luck with moving baits than soft plastics. I started out of Loyd park ramp and fished the point at the mouth of that creek with a rattle bait.. my fave gold and black.. caught a couple on that point. I moved to the DT10 on the same point and caught 5 more.. keepers and down. From there I went across the lake to the point where the creek swings close to the bank. U , I got a couple more over there on the DT10.

From there, I went around to east side of the lake and had no success there. It was really getting hot by that time.. came back to the west side and fished some more main lake points and had spotty success. I tried carolina rig and drop shot but didn't have any luck on soft plastic.. just the moving baits in at least 12' of water.
Good luck

That's crazy I found a point and I've been catching good amounts of fish in my the 10-12 ft of water range. I'm very new to deep fishing but I guess I need to move out deeper..

Thanking the lord for another day on the water
