Made this over the 4th holidays for about $12 in 2" PVC, I had the umbrella. Took about 30 minutes, Pretty simple and works great, Slips on and off in seconds, and stores easy. THe noodle takes the slop out of the umbrella pole, and on the bottom I put a moving disc that slides around like on ice. Works great..jim

Jim Sr., Nothing wrong with your mind, that is thinking outside the box. Great job. I have an umbrella I made several years ago to go into the base where the seat goes. Never thought about one that would slip under the seat like that. I think I will re-modify mine to be like yours, that way i do not have to sit on the deck to be under the umbrella. Thanks again for one great post.

Looks good, I made one for my kayak. Works great on these still summer days, don't need it when there is a breeze.

Works great..jim The first one I made is a true crappie umbrella, there is a bush pile on lake Arlington that my umbrella is on or next to, i was sitting there admiring my work, gust of wind and it took off like a rocket so the next one got a hole drilled and pin put in it. It was 8' across!!!!!
I would agree with you , but then we would both be WRONG !!!!!

Good idea, mine was built to fit between two seats with the upright 18 " tall, this looks like it would be easier to move out of the way.
