I'm assuming you need a bait well that is portable? If so, I am going to assume you will have less the 100 shrimp? I made my own out of a small ice chest, I lined the inside of the ice chest with a mesh like material.I use a extra large areator stone and a battery powered air pump. Shrimp don't like to swim, it will eventually wear them out. So the mesh gives them something to hold onto, climb and spread out. Ice chest will insulate and keeps water cool. Air stone distributes air into smaller bubbles, which replenishes the o2 better. I can hold about 100 shrimp over 8 hours with this type of set up. Though I do change out half the water every 2 hrs. The one in the pic is a larger version that I use in my boat. But it will give you an idea, you can use a smaller ice chest.

Buy an aerator 5 gallon bucket lid from academy or most bait shops sell them get you a five gallon bucket. Freeze some Gatorade bottles with water to put one in the bucket often. I usually carry 3-5 in my cooler during my outing. You can add mesh like mentioned above. I did but not necessary in my opinion. This works for me with about a quart of shrimp for about 5 hours. Change water often

The shrimp NEED something to cling to while inside bucket or any boats live well.. The material gives them a chance to REST. I have a piece of torn shrimpers net in my boats live well.

For wade fishing ?

For transportation to your WadeFish location ?

Shrimp vary in size throughout the year - so you will get a different "shrimp count" depending on the season/month of the year.

Old ice chest with an aerator. The kind from academy with suction cups on the bottom and a spray bar. Hook to car battery. Works great if you keep water exchanged every few hours

Ice chest with a small GPM pump mounted to one end. I took the drain plug out, mounted the pump with intake screen and Marine caulk, mounted the PVC spray bar inside. Mine is a 5/8" inside diameter PVC pipe, capped with holes drilled in it. As above states...wire up a homemade set of jumper cables and get a 12V battery. I use a 110qt cooler bc I put it in the trks bed or use as a holding tank for the live bait at home. Chg the water if ya can.

Don't forget to use bait net! Contanimates from your hands can foul the water, sunscreen is a good example, sunscreen from your hands getting in the water will klll bait fast.

Check out the Engel live bait cooler. It's similar to alumacrafts setup but is a little nicer and spill proof.
Alumacraft, that is a great home made setup! You did a good job!
With the Engel, no net is needed and the cooler seals 100%. It also has a carry strap to throw it over yore shpulder
