I've never owned a two piece rod. I always thought a one piece was better. Is their a difference, outside of the obvious? I've passed on some good buys in the past because of this. Appreciate the input.

i have both. if i go over 5.6 ft rods Most of the time I will go with a two piece. You will have to if you start using the longer jigging poles. My ProAnglers are two piece rods and I Love them.

Two piece rods are fine. You really can't tell the difference when using them. Much easier to carry and store.
I have both but use the two piece most of the time.

Nothing wrong with two piece. Sensitivity is still great.

Just a tip for a two piece rod:
Before you insert the male end into its female counterpart on the other rod piece, hold the male insert up to the crease on either side of your nose and rotate the rod a few revolutions. This will apply a very fine oil (this is just a common area for a predictable oil source) that makes joining the rod pieces slide together properly and more securely.
Hope this helps.

That's a great tip. Brad - that is an old trick that HVAC pneumatic controls techs used for generations!
